Good mechanic for Canberra

Hi Alexi,

mate the best mechanic in this neck of the woods is a guy called Rick Miller. Rick is an ex Honda mech who started a home business many moons ago now. He has a reputation for very thorough work. As one other customer of Ricks said "Rick looks after the bikes like they're his own and we are just borrowing them!"

Rick is the only person who has worked on the viffer and previous bikes I've had - his details are:

Thanks for the info on Rick I will look him up. Just sick of being treated like a leaper at Canberra Moto Centre, specially since they took over Mitchell. Seriously even though I bought my last two bikes from them they have treated me like sh*t, poor service, poor knowledge.

Ride sounds like fun, I will PM if I there is any chance of getting out over the weekend, thats if it stops raining :-(

Things are looking good and could be coming over later in the year.

Still think I will bring my bike with me as they seem to cost more over there and at least I know mine. Just had to spend loads more as some thieving git tried nicking it and did a bit a plastics damage and then got a stone flicked up and damaged front and screen. Will have a check first though I think as might find things different now.

Also in need of tires now as go through 2 pairs a year due to the amount of travel. Think if I do bring it over will get rear bearings done as noticed just slight movement but not bad.

So who fancies a ride out to show me about when I get over, any excuse for a ride. Will be around Perth/ Joondaloop area. Cant wait to get over.

the roads over here are often ordinary in terms of twisties

road surfaces are pretty good

there are a few nice runs thru the forests and between the little towns. im just finding some of them

im changing tyres to road 2ct from pilot sports..cause they are too soft and square off with all the flat country riding
