Does anyone know the parts numbers for the compatible oil filters for an 86 700f interceptor (same engine block as 750)? mine still has the one from Japan and i can't find the number on it (Honda 15410-MM9-013) if that's even the number... I was hoping it was because this page lists the compatible filters for that model... http://www.vfrworld.com/tex_vfr/tech/oilfilter.htm

    thanks in advance

It's the same oil filter as 1995 Izusu Trooper w/ a 3.2l V6, also a popular BobCat & gen set filter. I know its the same as the zuzu cause I've owned both @ the same time. Don't remember the # off hand but this should help you find a #.

Ya know, I just got my manual today, and it doesnt seem to have a replacement filter #, surprising to me, its probably in here somewhere, but not in the maintanance schedule or the recommended lubes and fluids, capacity is 3.2 us qts. and calls for 20w40 or 50 sf or sg though.

Hello, I was reading your note and it said the motorcycle used 20w40 or 50... I was wondering because I called a shop here localy and they said I should used 10w40....I have a 1986 vfr700f and that is what I just put in for my oil change I just did today... I was wondering if your manual would be the same as mine....(I dont have mine) Maybe I should be using what you wrote?

    thanks!

The MM9 is not the stock filter but is what I use. Actually, it's been replaced with another filter but I haven't memorized that one yet... and I'm too lazy to go out and look at one of my bikes! Your dealer will know what the replacement is for the MM9 as it was their most popular filter, now the new one will be.
