I've been searching on the internet, but am having a really hard time finding parts for my 2000 VFR800Fi (yellow)....I'd like to get a new, larger, nicer windshield and mirrors, as well as a cap for the rear seat area (mine didn't come with the stock one that I see most of them with), and a nice seat as well.

However, most of the sites I've seen either just have OEM parts, or don't have any parts for this bike at all. Does anyone have any suggestions for online shopping for aftermarket upgrades for this bike?

    Thanks.

I got a tinted and larger windscreen direct from Zero Gravity. They were very helpful and competitive on price. What I got as the ST version and it really helped to get the wind off me. I recommend it unless you are truley married to the sport side of bikes. Comfort is good.
Other things I have ordered from Bike Bandit. The have been prompt and accurate so far. They carry both OEM and will-fit parts. From them I got an K&N filter. Ican reconned either of these places.

There's a lot of little stuff out there as far as mods go, but it's hard to find them for our bikes. Been riding mine for YEARS (a '99 model I've had since 2000) and the only mods I ever did were the 6 times I repainted the bike just to change up the color. Now I'm really getting into it.

Here are the things I ordered today.
    Power Commander
Galfer "double-H" brake pads front and back (the regular ones aren't available)
    K&N air filter
    K&N Gold oil filter
520 conversion sprocket and chain kit
    extended bar ends
Jardine race exhaust (the street one is no longer available)
    CRG levers
stompgrip sheets that I'll cut to fit
Zero G double bubble smoke (dark smoke doesn't seem to be available anymore)

And that's it so far...I figured it'd be a start at least.

But honestly, for the people looking, there is still A TON OF STUFF available for our bikes. But if you're like going to the dealership and asking them or looking through like the Parts Unlimited catalog that they keep on the counter, you're gonna have a hard time finding a lot of it...a lot of the stuff that's out there isn't listed in the catalogs anymore just because it's not that common.

If you guys have any questions on specific items or things like that, hit me up. I've got a direct link to most of the manufacturers.

The only after market item I've put on my 99 VFR is a Corbin seat. I've been to the store in Cal and I was very impressed by the quality.

How has the Corbin been to you. I am not at all dissatified with my stock chair. Which one did you get?

I bought the carbonfiber Gunfighter and lady with small backrest. This seat is very comfortable and the passenger does not slide into you. My son bought the same for his 93 and his wife really likes the change. Corbin makes the seats so the cowl can be used.

Yes I did, best to call and talk direct to them. It was a very good experience, the problem is the seat was 500.00 plus....worth it!

I put a Puig screen, Y2K mirrors, Corbin seat, and Micron highmount titanium slip-on on mine. Got a deal on the seat on ebay. Did lots of searching for best exhaust prices. I'm personally not impressed with Bike Bandit's prices. If you need OEM, use Service Honda.

Just want to warn you folks, as far as accessories go, Corbin has quality issues.
I'm in the process of working out a $1700 dispute over the fit and finish of their beetle bags. Forget paint to match, they will paint, but it won't match.

    Hey Ramba...
Did you ever get your aftermarket parts decided? Only a couple of months late but I thought I'd throw in some experience with the Givi D200S Windscreen. I put one on a '98 and liked it quite a bit. I'll probably do the same for my 2000 when I get the cash flow going again. Not for everybody, but at 6'2" I need something to keep the wind from blasting me in the chest and head.

Wow, a 6th gen owner who chose the $1700 Corbins over the Honda (Givi) color matched bags at about half the cost? wow. If that doesnt prove the old adage of there being a buyer for every product I don't know what would...

Yombute, have you done any shopping for the Givi screen yet. Would like to pick one up as well and wondering if you had already done the searching for a good price.
