Was wondering if anyone has tried tinting the stock windshield? I've seen spray on stuff advertised for car headlights, or how about just tinting film?? I like the stock shield so would rather keep it than buy something different.

Tinting film may work applied to the underside of the shield but why bother when tinted stock replacement shields are so cheap?

    $$$

New windscreen would be $80-100. Window tint $10. in addition, I don't like the look of the other windscreens.

    Go to zgoutlet.com

VFR 800 Fi Interceptor / ABS 2002-08 Part #20-454 for stock replacement style. I like the dark smoke.

Email them for a quote. I've order a few seconds from them and couldn't find any flaws, you can pay a few bucks more for a first quality too. Landed it'll be cheaper then anything you can find (except the chinese crap on ebay).

I think it's kinda dicky of Zero Gravity to run their own outlet store since it undercuts the local stores. That being said, local stores charge way too much and I like the deals just like the next guy. And despite their really jinky website, zgoutlet is legit.

If you don't wanna fork out the 55 bones for a tinted screen, I'd suggest hitting the inside with a can of model paint that they use for window tinting models. It should look good til something scratches it.

SLOav8r, nice link. good to know. I've had a windscreen get broken, and it sucks dropping another $80, for a new one. But gotta have it, not going to ride with out one.

K9Style, I though about doing that, but a local tent shop stated that he did not recommend tinting plastic because it's always releasing gasses that can cause bubbles. He would do it, but wouldn't guarantee the results.
    Good Luck.

Maybe it's just me, but from the ZG DB's that I've seen online, it seem that the windscreen just takes the sportiness out of the VFR. If you have one on your bike, can you post a pic??? Thanks
