If anybody is interested - the dark side is putting together a group buy - I think the price is $579.00 - Pretty good deal. I'm not gonna bite this time, my pipes are fine for the moment but sometime.

A group buy price should be less than that!

The advertised bid price for that system on Ebay is $579
I would hope we could get a better deal than the Ebay price at least :( ???

When I bought mine last year, there was another thread about headers on this site, so I approached them about a group buy at that time. I was pretty much rebuffed with the answer that the low dollar was already killing their profit margin. And the dollar has dropped since then.
Good luck if you try of course, just telling you what happened when I asked.

I think the sweet part of the group buy is the free shipping. I bought the Motads off ebay a couple of weeks ago and paid $579.99, but also had to fork out like $35 in shipping.

Not that it mattered, I guess. I was going to buy the headers anyway, but as soon as they dropped from $679 to $579, I grabbed them. That is a great price. These headers are really nice, well built, and Annitori does great business.

Can't wait to install these soon. Hoping with these, the Devil pipes, and the PCIII usb, there will be a nice difference both in sound and performance.

BTW-I think there needs to be at least 10 people for the group buy on vfrd, and there are already names adding up. If you have the cash (or will have it with the tax rebate), it might be a good idea to check it out.

Well, compared to the OEM replacements, this is a great deal and you can bypass the cat as well. I know the OEM headers and downpipes, with all the parts needed, ordered from Bike Bandit or Ron Ayers would be around $700.

For some, having catless headers is meaningless. Then I can see how spending $500+ seem outrageous. Some people might think that it is worth the money (even without the sloppy kiss) just for the fact they look better than stock, sound better than stock, and are obviously less expensive than stock (a great deal especially for those who have scratched up their headers from running hard on the twisties and need replacements).

Call me crazy, but I have never felt bad about the $$$ I spend on my baby.
