vfr pilot...you really fly? I do, and was based in London with Air Ontario for quite a while....

Yes,I was a Pilot.Was laid off out west back in 2001 and couldn't find other work.
I had just started right seat PC12.....and now my 400 hrs. tt gets me nothing let alone expired Mult-IFR.
If I had a job lined up I would likely make the sacrifice again.

Do you know Rick Bush and Mike McDermott?-good guys man.

yeah I know them both...Worked with Bush alot....great guys based there until it got shut down. We can't find enough pilots, so get your multi back and get back into it...I worked at FlightExec before AO and it would be a place to start.

Back in 04 I think it was someone flew into Port Dover, I have the proof.

The Tim Horton's walk was cool too.

It's getting closer!

sorry but i'm out for the 13th! can't swing the day off from work!:frown:

 

The day's getting closer!!

IF anyone has a friend or relative that lives in Port Dover we could all meet up there and park our bikes together; failing that, sportbikes usually tend to congregate at or near the Timmy Ho's near the gas station......

The Canadian Legion post has a large parking lot one or two blocks north of the main street about 1/2 mile up.

Any parking area ideas??

 

I know a number of fellow VFRs indicated they were going to Port Dover this Friday the 13th. Depending on where you are coming from, there are a couple of meeting spots along the way. One would be the Tim Hortons in Smithville (north east of Dover) the other would be the Tim Hortons in Dunnville (east of Dover).
I personally will be going through Dunnville because I like the ride along the shoreline better. If anyone from this group would like to join me, I plan to be there for 8:30am. I hope that this might help the rest of the group connect. Please feel free to PM me if you are able to link up with me at that time. I look forward to seeing everyone there!
