    hi everyone!
i just aquired a 2000 vfr800FI off ebay. This is my first VFR and by reading the several posts, it seems to be a good deal!
The previous owner left the bike outside for a while ,he had tried to start the bike but had some injector pulsing issues (i have no idea what that that is all about, i am new to fuel injectors). Has a few broken pieces , so i have taken it upon myself to restore/ customize the bike. I hope to be posting a lot of questions on this forum and hope to get some good valuable advice. So please bear with me! Here are some pics of the bike as it stands to day!
the pics were from when the bike was posted on ebay!
will post more pics as i tear it down! thanks in advance!

Looks like you have yourself a project there. Is the tail fairing color off from weathering, or is it a different color?

Project bikes are fun. Have fun with it.

yes it definiely is a project! But for $660 bucks, i figured i cant go wrong!i know a lot of people are going to frown upon the idea that i plan on making a street fighter out of it, but i figured since all the plastics are either cracked or torn (except the upper) , i could use the awesome v4 engine and fuel injection and build a custom bike and at the same time have the advantage of the touring position of the levers for taking the bike for longer rides! I dont stunt or abuse my bikes ,i treat them like my baby (makes my wife jealous)
Like i said before i am totally new to the whole v4 fule injection thing . (my other bike is a 2000 zx6r) so i am going to be asking a lot of questions!!

Wecome bro...sounds like good deal even for a "parts only" kinda bike. Should be a nice project for you. Looks like she was sitting outside uncovered for quite sometime seeing how that backend is faded.

Welcome! If you like a project then how do you go wrong for that price? Save that poor, abused bike from the past abuse it has seen...and then ride the snot out of it!

Welcome to the Forum! Or perhaps it should be, "Run away! Save yourself! It's too late for us..."

Sorry. I'm in one of those moods. Nice find!

mike ym thanks for the link , to get my plastics repaired. I am still on the wall about weither i want to put plastics back on the bike or not. i like to keep the bike naked and customize it to my liking!
KC-10, dont worry i think the guy got his punishment, from what i heard from the seller the guy who wrecked it might probably be in jail right now , serving time for drug use!
I am on a few other forums, (coz of my obsession with bikes! go figure!) and the more i read about VFR's i am getting real pumped about getting this bike put together fast and ride it.
    Appreciate the warm welcome fellas!
