Found a hole in my rear tire, time to change them out anyway on the 99. Did some research, the Shinko tires have good reviews, plus they're less expensive and I plan to sell soon anyway. http://www.tiresunlimited.com/ALL TIRES/Shinko/Shinko_raven_radial_009.htm The dealer should have them on by next week, I'll let you guys know how they do.
cool. you are the second user in as many days who has mentioned giving them a try. maybe we'll get some good info on them... why would you sell a 99?
I got a chance to put about 20 miles on the tires today. It'll take a while to scrub off the release compound but so far they feel just fine. Very smooth at ah...the speed I was riding. Maybe I was just used to the old, worn out tires but one thing I did notice was slower responsiveness. For example, I did some weaves at around 55mph and it just felt like I was having to push it more to initiate. Likewise slow speed stuff took some persuasion. It really feels very stable on the highway, probably what it was intended for being the '009' version. I'll post more when we get some decent weather.
