With some electric tape you could be a bumble bee!... or a Striper fan.

I've got the flip but am looking at a one-piece for safety and LESS NOISE. I think that is a big issue with the flips. And I know that fogging issue in the winter...I must be thinking about Manuela too! IT IS ALL DerStuka's FAULT!

And DerStuka, you didn't let on you were a single speed fiend! I have a Bianchi single-speed...ALL BLACK...HARD TAIL...DISC BRAKES. Lots of fun...and simple! It helps the high RPM spin thang!

I just got an email from Aerostich - RF-1000 for $267.00. I don't know if that's good or not, I just thought I'd throw it out there.........

Sounds good to me. I paid a little over $300 at a Honda shop about three years ago. Got the solid yellow one.

I alternate it with an Arai Signet GT (also in yellow), which is approaching its "dump date" (now over five years old).

I prefer the fit of the Arai Signet GT, but that's just my head shape.

That's a great price. Solid color? I paid $350 for mine, I dunno 2 1/2 years ago. Comp A is selling different grapix for $333 and $299.

My guess is Shoei is coming out with a next generation helmet soon
(RF-1100?), its about timely in their product cycle, so all the left overs of the RF -1000 will be unloaded at discount.

BTW - I agree the only bitch I have about the RF-1000 is the fogging on the cooler days. There are some anti fog products I may fool with to work on it. Other than that, I think its a first class piece.

Nah, I am thinkin of a scorpion. there have been some good reviews on here. I generally like matte finishes but I couldn't find one in the kind of helmets I was looking at last time... I think I bought the wrong size, too. At first it was pretty snug but after a while it seems like I could do one size smaller. the shoei might be nicer if I had gotten the right size.

I have about 5 helmets and the flip-ups I use on the Goldwing are my favorite.

Reg, you could try tighter cheek pad inserts on your lid - that may help. I think they go for about 30 bucks. Check the website.
