I checked out Ricks, and it doesnt look like they carry one for you bike. You can always give them a call though.

I am sure they will point you in the right direction. They have a very good reputation. I got my 96 R/R from there. I don't think a R/R from a 4th gen will be a straight plug and play fit on your bike. Might be some wiring involved.

Last time I had an R/R issue, I jump started my bike in 2nd gear on a hill. Don't know if that was an option for you when you were stranded.

The search feature is your friend, here.

There has to be dozens of threads about R/R's. Honda's units are notoriously fragile, try one of the other (larger!) units from a GSX-R.

Pretty much any 5 or 7-pin R/R should work, provided you know what pin is doing what. While you're at it, check the resistance of your wires, if above 0.2 ohms, replace the wiring with heavier gauge...

I just looked at Ricks. They show an R/R for the VFR700 VFR, but not one for the VF700 Interceptor. Not sure if it is actually two different bikes as I am not real familiar with teh 2nd gen bikes. But, yeah, give Ricks a call as some R/R span a number of years (and gen's) as well as cross to diff models of bikes on the same brand.
