Has anyone tried any OEM swaps for a replacement rear shock? I just picked up a new RC51 rear shock and I'm planning on trying to adapt it to the VFR. I figure that it is a better overall unit and has more adjustability as long as I can make it fit. It has an attached reservoir which will be the challenge. If it will not work it'll be back on E-bay next week.

Trying to think outside the box and have some fun on a limited budget!:peace:

I don't think this will work they both have completely different swing arms and mounting points. Not to mention most OEM shocks are really not that good all the work required wouldn't be worth it. If you want a better shock on a limited budget try getting yours rebuilt with better internals and a new spring. Check out race tech.
