Anyone out there know if aftermarket anti vibe bar ends will fit the bars on an '86? The ones I want got a nut on the end and rubber that expands when you tighten them up. I know my stock ones got a threaded stud that tightens up in the bar. there has to be an insert, of some sort, that this tightns to. dont know if it will be in the way or not., short of going out and removing them, again. not sure of the length of the new ones, but they advertise " any bike", I called but they dont know jack from jill about that. Im pretty sure that the bars are 7/8'', and that is how they are advertised. Or do these sound like junk to you?

The Manic Salamander bar ends have proven themselves for me. I don't know if they have any to fit you, you'd have to check. Good luck!

Yes, the insdie diameter is 7/8". Just about any aftermarket bar end will work. You just need to find one that is the right dimensions. I don't like bar ends that are too small or too big.
