I'm the proud "new" owner of a red 2004 VFR with low miles. The bike appears to be completely stock.

I've always liked VFRs since the first one came out, just never had the opportunity to own one. Now that I have, I'm anxious to make it my own.

Any pointers on "necessary" mods would be greatly appreciated.

I do want to start with an exhaust. I've been researching quite a bit, even before I finally purchased, and really like the look and sound of the 4 can Laser system. Any pros or cons? I would hope the weight would be less than stock, but not sure with all the hardware. Does anyone know of the wieght difference? Has anyone gutted the catalytic converter or replaced it with a new pipe section?

Thanks for any suggestions you can offer!

Congratulations! YouTube has a lot of clips of different exhausts on VFRs. That might be a good source for ya. I'll probably be keeping my exhaust stock, but I love the sound of the Leo Vince pipes. Enjoy the new ride!

I have a 2004. I am buying Leo Vince carbon cans. Probably from CA CycleWorks, because Chris is a good guy and the prices aren't bad.

PS - do you wanna try to start a Group Buy?
