Once the snow fell and the riding season ended I started spending more time on the boards. That led to looking at bikes and reading people's bike reviews, ride reports and general bike-related babbling ;). In a moment of weakness I decided to head on over to the local classified websites, "just to browse." It's pretty obvious where this is going. Almost needless to say, my intentions changed pretty quickly.

For a long time there was either nothing that caught my eye or, by the time I came across something enticing, it had already been sold...until a week ago. Up popped this completely stock, Asphalt 2004 VFR800 (non-ABS) in great shape and with only 8800 km (5500 miles) on the odometer...and it was only 1/2 hour away. We went out to see it on Saturday and brought it home today.

I've attached a couple of (poor) photos of my the new-to-me bike and its stablemate. I'll get better photos sometime when it's not snowy and dark.

    Where in Alberta are you?

Oh, and get all your recall work done before riding season starts. Check your local stealer for details.

The woring harness recall is essential, lest you be stranded on the road with no Zolts.

    Thanks, everyone!

V4Dan: At least we're about halfway through winter now. We'll be riding soon, but not soon enough  Right now I'm just recalling my demo rides and watching YouTube videos to get my fix, lol.

Veefer800: I'm in Edmonton. Thanks for the wiring harness warning. I had asked the owner about it and he said that it hadn't had the work done (he hadn't heard about the recall) so that's in store for spring. If I can just get the parts then I might do it myself this winter, though.
