I just picked up a new '06 today. It started raining on me as I left the dealership and 30 miles later it is sitting in front of my apartment with a cover on it. PLEASE STOP RAINING!
Do'h!!! I HATE the rain! CONGRATULATIONS! Did you get a great deal since it was an 06? If you don't mind, what did you pay? (I am looking at new 07's now.) ABS? Hard cases? Any interesting tidbits I should know about your experience? You ARE wearing full gear, aren't you?
I got it for $8400 (but also got hit for $1100 of assorted set up, delivery, and "documentation fees") so it really was $9500 which isn't a smoking deal. They gave me $1500 for my 2000 SV-650 (I paid $2500 for it and put 10,000 miles on it.) No accessories except an ICON mil spec vest so I can ride it on base.
Yeah I know. I usually pay cash to private sellers but couldn't find a decent VFR anywhere. Let me be a lesson to you all!
Congradulations on the new bike. I know I can't wait to get back home so I can start to ride mine again.
Yes, thanks for the info and the learning experience. I'll remember when I go to the mat. I have the same vest you mentioned...I am not military but feel it is good to wear when in traffic. Kinda ugly but that is what a VFR is there for...to look pretty! Ride safe Fishy! (Oh, and thanks for doing your part in the military! My dad was a full "bird" in the Army...)
You guys have replied to a 2007 thread. The bike was brand new at the time Before posting take a look at the dates on the threads in each view of this software.
