Anyone extend there mirrors out at all? I'm getting tired of staring at my shoulders... I'm sure there's something better to look at.

I've seen the block type that go in-between the fairing and mount. Since the Gen 6 kinda already has a bulky mount didn't wanna go that route.

Also seen the hinge adapter that adds another hinge to the already hinge.

I've tossed up the idea of pulling off my mirror bars and just adding an extra inch to them.

    Any suggestions?

    Thxs

Mine work good enough for me, however, if I did have to choose Mr. Smith, I would choose the block type as it looks more stable.

    Just my $.02

BTW, what in tarnation does GVRD stand for?

Greater Vancouver Regional District. Basically covers Vancouver and all the major surrounding areas. Cool you noticed.

My only concern for the block type is that it will look really bulky and ... well, plain bulky. Your idea of more stability is also a good consideration, the more joints the more possible vibration and flexing. Hummm

... don't remember being flashed by ur avatar before...

I've used the mirror blocks you've shown and they do improve the view. Not tremendously, but there is an improvement. I'd say if you're not short of $$ give them a try.

Yeah, I would be concerned about the bulkiness as well, however, I don'
think that they would look like 5th wheel trailer mirrors or anything.

...yeah, I just swapped the ole avatar this evening....thought this was more...entertaining to look at...you likey??

As a larger fellow i also have this issue and after a lot of looking the 2 items you posted seem to be all that are available...
i'd go with the blocks, stable, and not to bulky as the bulk is right against the bike.

I bought the block type also. They improved over stock but still could use more.

    Mirror Extenders

I've got the block type extender as well, and it was a big help to me. I'm not looking at my arms in the mirror any more.

I have the 1" blocks also and they are great. And you don't notice the blocks unless you are really looking for them.
