Well i bought my 05 VFR abs in 06, been from northern alberta to stugris as well as varous other weeklong trips...but i went and got married.

The wife is not all that into motorcycling and at most will ride the back of my VFR for a couple of hours...i can't blame her i wouldn't eather. She has no intrest in riding her own and i never pushed...well i did it just never went anywhere.

So this year i took her out on my dads 1800 06 goldwing..
that may have been a mistake....once you go wing do passangers come back?

then 6 months ago she drops the most amazing idea ever....
"Hey lets go on a motorcycle trip to Alaska"
Well needless to say i'm all for it.

So i finally aranged to borrow my dads bike for 2 weeks including his trailer....

Just had to post.....hey it's got 2 wheels...and 4 cup holders, GPS, heated seats, CB radio, and partrige in a pear tree.

shoulde be fun...trailer has a cooler.

....and more buttons/switches than an apache helicopter! Sounds like a cool deal Molsan. Glad your wife is stoked about going. Make sure that you have some heated vests with you...might want to get some sheep skin seat covers to be sure about her comfort...because, once they get uncomfortable, the fun starts to end... :censored:

Good idea on riding,but......I always felt like I put on 50lbs and aged 15 years whenever I sat on a wing. Nothing against them, since I grew up on a 83 GL1100 and a 88 1500.But it has 2 wheels and you can get your wife to ride on it then I'm hoping you have a safe and fun ride.

That's so cool your wife wants to take an Alaskan road trip, back in the days when I had a Road King, me and the wife took a 12 hour ride to Mendocino, after about 6 hours her back started to hurt, my buddy who had a Ultra Classic came up with the idea of switching bikes, the Ultra Classic is similar to the Wing, (almost as Comfy) after the wife rode on the back of the La-Z-Boy type seat, she begged me to trade in the Road King for either a Ultra Classic or Goldwing. Well that didn't happen but the women diffently get spoiled with that type seat...
