So far no leaking - except some from the bottom of my fuel bottle. Probably where the line is connected. I disconnected it and dumped the fuel back in my gas can. The carb set will stay in it's tub overnight and I will check for any seepage in the morning.

Looks like a go for installation tomorrow! :)

No leakage detected on the carbs after sitting overnight so got them re-installed and a new battery this morning. All ready to go but I left the keys at my storage unit so will have to wait until a break from college football to retrieve for a test start.

Confirmed. It's an 86 VFR. They pretty much always start in situations like this.

    God that is so satisfying.

Get the air box together and double check your other fluids. I can almost guarantee that smoke will clear up once you are able to heat cycle it up to the fan coming on.

    Good job.

I went back out an hour after the first start and ran it again. Mostly wanted to get a sound bite of that angry Kerker! ;)

    No smoke this time! :)

Dragging my tail a little this week but got back on it today and installed a used set of masters and front brake calipers that came with a Russell ss line.

The front brakes bled up nicely - I only had to bleed the left side.

But no love on the clutch side, even though I had done the slave rebuild. So I have the master off and am going to rebuild it this evening or in the morning.

The deed is done - and tomorrow I should have a working clutch!

Funny how I have a million brake master rebuild kits but could only find one for the clutch side.

She has a twin still in her box. Can drop ship! :)

OK - clutch master installed and bled. Next up is to re-install the airbox and run her again on the fuel bottle. Then if all OK the tank will go back on. The rest will just be cosmetics providing the brakes check out.

Air box is on, despite over an hour spent trying to find the dang fasteners!

Seems to sounds a lot better, to me.

The first video is just at idle. The second video is giving her some throttle.

Sounds good to me too. Especially with a phone microphone.

Complete air box always helps too.

    Good job.
