Just got this photo from the last pickup near Atlanta. Driver said he'd be here between 9-10am tomorrow. I will share more upon arrival.

Both are '86's. One an RC 24, complete and running condition. The other is complete except for battery and was not running. My understanding is it will run after the usual steps are taken. The windscreen, blinkers, and mirrors are in a box that comes with it. Mostly in very nice condition.

Both will likely need new tires, too.

That's the Micron on the left, I assume you're talking about. I saw that too. Don't know anything about it but will take a look when it gets here.

Nice - I was wondering about that. Maybe start a new thread when it arrives along with the project you are using it with.

Good morning friends.....hope all is well!

    Delivery went perfect this morning.

If anyone needs a transport on the East Coast, let me know......these guys were great!

Very impressed with both machines. The RC24 had fuel in the tank and started right up so I took her for a little spin. ALWAYS nice to receive one in running condition and not in need of much.

The White RC26 is in very nice condition. It came with some of the parts disassembled - mirrors, blinkers, infill panels, and windscreen. A few of the fasteners will need to be messed with too but overall I'm stoked with what I got!

I took a short vid of the RC24 that I will post soon.

Hopefully this will do it for me until I sell some. I had to squeeze these in as it is!

Thanks, Capt! BTW...that cover over the Micron outlet was just a plastic top from a spray paint can that slipped over it very snugly. Not a bad idea I guess to keep stuff out of one's muffler! :)

Cell phone audio is tough with V4s. There's lots of moving parts and it highlights everything that sounds perfectly normal in person. My 1oooR sounds like a tractor about ready to throw a rod.

Sounds pretty snappy and responsive though! Exhaust has a nice tone too.

Thanks. I didn't operate the enrichment in an ideal manner. Too shaky too without a tripod. She did start right up, which made me happy...lol...

Interesting about the Micron. The seller stated he thought it had a better sound than a Yosh or Kerker. A lot of that of course is personal preference. It does sound pretty good though.

The blinkers and mirrors are in very nice condition. The blinkers look almost new. The two at the left are aftermarket and not correct but I have the missing right rear in my spares plus the stalks.

The windscreen needs the Nexus treatment so will do that as well.

I think the tank has been coated but it's a thin silver colored coating - whatever it is. Doesn't seem like it will be a problem but will test with fuel before installing.

The infill panels are perfect and even have the rubber seals with them.

And the fairings have all their tabs and no cracked parts - ever the tail cowl is perfect. Truly amazing.....and you can see why this one was hard to pass up!

Can someone share their opinions of the advantages of these modifications done to my new RC24? I realize the fork springs are to assist the suspension but how much does it really help?

Sorry if these are dumb questions......I always appreciate getting input from those who know more than me - and that's a lot of folks!

    Thanks!

The stock springs in VFRs are WOEFULLY under-sprung. WAY too weak. Very typical for Honda in the 80s and 90s. Undersprung and overdamped. Race-Tech springs are high quality, straight rate.

The fork brace keeps the fork lowers from twisting in relation to each other. It is usually pretty undetectable, but when riding hard it is possible to feel the difference between it being there and not. The early interceptors have them built into the fenders as an aluminum bridge.

Rubber fork boots? Does it have off road style accordion fork boots?

Heli-bars are aftermarket handle bars. They are typically a little less aggressive. Usually higher and maybe not as angled.
