Help......Overheating after replacing thermostat, hoses, & cap.... Solved

    Hi -- you reminded me... I used a hair dryer around the rear 2 insulators first, levered them off with the 2 x 4 and then heat the front...
    Yeah, they were a sunny beach to get to move....

    Got it! Thanks for the help from everyone!

    Some observations, and I dont know if these helped, but the assembly did come off.
    1) I used a heat gun on the rear 2.
    2) I hit the left rear corner with a tapered 2X4 first. It had the most available leverage. It popped, so then the right rear, and that popped them both up.
    3) Then I used the come along for the front 2. It did not have much lock left on it, but the come along was already there so I used it.
    I think one problem for me was trying the front 2 first. In hind sight, the motor is not horizontal, so of course one should do the rear first.

    Yeah, thermostat is only opening a little more than half. Shop manual says it should be 8 mm, and I see 5.
