I haven't been paying attention to all of the threads, but I have found that every time I pull a tire I should put in a new stem. I like a nice alum 90* to make life easier.

I swear you work for Evaporust! Are you a sales guy in VFR clothing? lol

I'm still learning and have reached the same conclusion - new stem when tire replaced - and yes - make it a 90.

And yeah I know I buy a lot of it - but that ER stuff really comes in handy! Earlier today when I was checking on my exhaust I threw a few more things into the pail....lol.

You have to remember.......I'm in Florida and live in a barrier island. That salt air is corrosive! If I had a huge shop I could keep everything in - it wouldn't be such a problem for me. The trade off though is worth it as I love being so close to the ocean and the water here is very warm, so there's that.

Going to pick up some Rustoleum hi-temp black paint tonight from Walmart for the pipes on that Yosh. Then follow Joe Nelson's tutorial on polishing the Yosh itself.

It's missing a few fasteners so gotta source those from somewhere.

We are having a lovely sunny winter day here so I pulled all the toys out for a family photo. They all got a little run around the block to celebrate.

Yosh exhaust update. Picked up both primer and paint last night for the pipes. This morning I puller her from the ER pail and cleaned up what I could to prep for painting later today. I flushed everything inside the pipes too since it was also immersed in the ER. Lot of rusty colored water came out.

I also ran a small wire brush inside the inlets as far as it would reach which hopefully will make for a better gasket fit and easier install.

I have on hand some aircraft grade paint remover and next time will experiment with using some of it to remove the old paint. For now I think I'll be good to go with the Hi-Temp primer/paint combo.

Here's how it looked after removing from the ER pail:

    And after some wet sanding:

That should come out nice. Look forward to seeing it when done

Tosh stuff is well made. The only gripe is getting the aluminum muffler off of the aluminum ring that is riveted to the steel pipes. They kinda fuse together and you don't have much leverage or purchase to get any movement. I've had to resort to some prying in the past regardless of how much soaking and heating I did.
