Thanks! Feels good to finally get some of the stuff done I wanted to get to this winter - and didn't.

Those infill panel screws weren't wanting to go in so I even pulled out my tap and die set to clear out the threads.

Damn good set to have on hand when working on these old girls!

Ha - I know. It sat on my lift table here after I used it on an engine case on another bike. Under canopy but still exposed to the salt air.

The rest of the set is still perfect! :D

If only you had some liquids around there that removes rust.

I mentioned earlier I have been working on my spare parts.....cleaning and re-organizing. In particular the brake and clutch masters. I decided to break them all down to their individual parts...which is needed anyway to clean them. Then baggie them up and put them in my spares department.

That ER stuff is great for the metal items. Simple Green for the other stuff and also just warm sudsy water and a soft bristle brush. The objective to get rid of old dried brake fluid crud and residue.

The last photo is one of the lower fairings I worked on replacing two of it's inner duct posts. Every one of my spares now have fully functioning inner duct posts w/hardware. I use a couple different tools to help with this along with new inserts like they use with 3D printing. Pretty cool and easy to do - just a bit time consuming.

Thanks, Six. Lot of fairing work yesterday. Just trying to get these used parts more use-able. Some I will be needing myself going forward!
