Good morning.... Having a peek at a set of lowers that need work but appear to be pretty original. About an hour from me.... looks like an '85 set, with original paint. Guy is looking for offers. I was not thinking very much, factoring in travel, repairs, etc. What do you guys think?

Without major damage and including the vents and oil fill door, I would pay $250, up to $300. I would feel like I stole it at $200.

As long as I wasn't traveling all the way across a state or something. Without having to ship something like this, I might even reach into the other pocket for some of the "oh shit, I do have more" money.

Nice little drive in the country .... scored the piece for $275. Good original shape, no bad cracks or breaks, just a little bit of work on some of the edges. Guy was running a small KTM dealership and shop and had thousands of bikes in the woods behind his house. Lots of Gen 1 Interceptors, managed to find one 86 VFR already pillaged for parts. Always a good adventure to walk around a motorcycle graveyard.
