That's a CBR600RRRRRR, so will definitely be on a 5.5" rear rim as stock.

 

Little more progress today. I have 2 broken stays to EZ out tomorrow. Then should be set with last of the fairings.

 

Shit. Duh. The paint scheme made my brain go F3 for some reason.

I absolutely LOVE that paint job!

 

Before heading to my storage units, I stopped at the tag office to leave a gift (a plant) for one of the ladies there who helped me get all my Blue bikes transferring and registered.

There was a young man at the counter and I saw he had a small motorcycle tag so struck up a convo. Turns out he flips them and has done 100 so far - and is only 20 years old!

He said the dirt bikes are the easiest because they don't have to meet DOT regs so a title isn't always needed - just a bill of sale.

Anyhoo......we both left at the same time and I invited him over to my truck to see some of the fairings and cowl I was bringing with me. Both battery covers, both lower fairings, and a perfect headlight cowl. And I mean PERFECT! All in RWB. He was dumbfounded, needless to say.

He is a sport bike guy and we exchanged contact info and I said I'd like for him to come to my storage units some time and check out the stable.

He was there doing a title and reg. today for a 2019 Yamaha R1.

100 bikes.....that's crazy!

 

I was all...F3 who does this cracker think he is! hahahaha The factory-recommended tire size is 180/55ZR17. Which kinda blows my mind because I remember trying to get bigger than a 130 on Hurricane and getting static. I do love the paint on the CBR...mmmmmm

 

I decided to do the 'evening' strike mission - so am fiddling around at the casa for now. These lower fairings had some glitches in the decals - plus the one I did the repairs on needed some touch up so I started on that last night. One thing led to another and now I've done all the BLUE portions on these other ones I have for future use. A little later on when they dry I will tackle the red parts.

These touch up paints are not an exact match so these will be the old 10' paint job - you can't see any imperfections unless you get within' 10'!

This one is going on the Cold Devil bike.....

When I get done I will line them all up and take a photo from 10' away - and then we'll see if they meet the criteria!

In all the bikes I have ever owned......it's the only sticker I have ever applied to ANY of them.

And I think I'm up to 3 Bibbs now.

I forgot to take with me tonight a pair of infill panels. One has a dumb sticker on it. Guess now I have the weekend to remove it...ha ha.
