The link doesn't work. Just get on ebay and type 397949462362 in the search.

Looks like it's located in Colorado.

Beautiful bike and one of the ones made in the Marysville, Ohio plant (check out the VIN plate)!

Seller has one feedback and has a Buy It Now of $4,750.

IMHO, he really needs to write more than just this:

One owner. 13,000 miles. 1987. All original. Showroom clean, would be a great everyday ride. Recent full blown professional carb job, Can show you photos.

I mean, not saying he won't get what he wants for it - and I hope he does. Seems like the market is in a little slump right now.

    Thanks, James!!!

The VIN plate photo on top is from this bike on eBay.

The photo below it is from my '87 I bought back in '97.

Look how close they are in production.....

The 1HF prefix is the ones made in America at that Ohio plant.

You can also see that the digits appear a bit erratic......perhaps all hand stamped.

Nice catch, I didn't see that it was made in the Ohio plant. Man they are close in production!

I even wonder if the seller realizes his bike is a little special in that regard. Hence my comment his ad copy could use improvement.

Now for a backstory. I only learned about this from Joe Nelson, who at the time had one of his bikes on B.a.T. I posted something on there about how much I loved these bikes and about my first one being an '87....and he asked me to check the VIN plate, which I did....and found mine was from the Ohio plant.

The rest is history regarding our friendship and his enormous assistance to me with my Interceptor matters.

I have a White '87 I bought 2 years ago from a Wisconsin seller and his was also made in Marysville. He didn't even realize it until I pointed it out after seeing the VIN plate in his ad photos. So that makes 2 of mine made in America.

About a year ago I ran across a frame being sold in the UK with an Ohio-made VIN plate on it. Thought that was funny. A Japanese motorcycle (the frame anyway) made in America and now being sold in Great Britain....lol.....
