My girl at the tag office is going to do an eyebrow roll tomorrow on the bike from Bama.

The person on the title passed away and I have a form showing another person took legal ownership.

But they never actually transferred the damn title.

Then she sold it to another person and I have that bill of sale.

Again - no one transferred the damn title.

Then that person sold it to the guy I bought it from and I have that bill of sale.

You guessed it. He never transferred the damn title.

I have a bill of sale from him plus his most recent registration form in his name.

How the hell the state of Alabama can let someone register a motorcycle when they don't even have a title in their name for it is beyond me!

This is going to be good...lol....stay tuned! :)

Good luck with that Bazz… I’m sure you will get it straightened out.

Thanks - and I agree. These folks are used to seeing all kinds of crazy stuff when it comes to buying and selling vehicles.

There's always a way to get it done. I just hope we can do it in one visit.

I will bring all this paperwork with me when I come there on the Tenn. bike, which has a normal title scenario. Then if it's gonna be a problem doing the Bama one - it will save a trip over.

So far the first three bikes all have the same exact tag - but with one sequential number increase. If I can get all 5 done with one digit apart it would be so cool and something that never crossed my mind until I looked at the tags today.

    Here's the last 2 I did.....see what I mean? And the one I did Tuesday is "921" ;)

Got the last 2 Blue 87's done today.

That Bama one with the crazy title situation? I ended up just handing her the seller's last registration and a bill of sale and she got it all done - because in Alabama vehicles over 30 years old are exempt from needing a title. Which saved my bacon BIG TIME!

Unfortunately, someone slipped in there and got the next sequential antique plate so I'm one number ahead from the sequence.

Next week I will start on some of the "other" bikes yet to be re-titled and registered. Some of those will need some fuel work first.

Here's the Bama bike with the Xenon lights....

And 4 of the 5 Blue ones.....the 5th is in another unit.......

Good question and happy to answer.

To date I have not sold a single motorcycle.

Hope to start selling some this year.

Look what Santa brought me today.......Christmas in May!

    Carbs are in fantastic shape!

    Tank the same.

    Everything dirty and needs cleaning.

The fuel tank sender and fuel pump are unicorns!

I put some work in to find and acquire these, too, trust me.

That carb set that I just got, other than being dirty on the exterior, is in really nice condition!

Thought it pretty funny to see the throttle cables and choke cable cut off (I presume in the removal process), rather than undoing the fasteners. See bottom of the carbs in this pic. The seller works in a salvage yard so obviously he has some experience in stripping parts from a bike expediently! :D

Not disagreeing, six, but in that line of work, maybe the cables weren't worth salvaging vs. the time it would take to safely remove them?

I'm thrilled there was zero damage to the carbs.....or anything else he stripped from the bike and shipped to me.

Even the masters had their lines snipped off....lol......no mercy to the little stuff!!! :)

Yea I get it … but these bikes are special to us so it hurts. Parts ( original ) for my CBX are gold and I think it will be that way for our VF/VFR’s someday.

Any way I saw a RWB VFR 700 in Florida today … Bazz style!

I already have the one that I got from Cold Devil last year, that's in very good condition. Ran into some kind of fuel delivery issue I will try to resolve this week.

Plus I have another coming from Arizona this coming week that will need a little work.
