Arrived late today. Will get some pics posted - hopefully tomorrow. This will make my 5th complete and operational Candy Wave Blue '87 VFR700F (look a few posts back in the photo thread for the other 4).

    Teaser vid.....

Only if I were in The Aloha State and building a new house.

THEN and only THEN....would I come close to being the man! ;)

Hello again my friends.......well gotta say overall I think I did great on this purchase. Bike rides extremely well! Must be the new Metzler tires! Came with both OEM tool kit and owners manual. Plus the original exhaust and a raggity FSM.

Proper GRAY seat in excellent condition. OEM turn signals and mirrors.

Can see the brake fluid & levels through both master sight glasses.

Has it's chain guard with all labels on it.

Clear title from Georgia so will take her over to the tag office later this week for a VIN verification, new title in my name, and registration & tag.

Came with 2 keys which both fit ALL locks.

Fuel tank was almost full - that alone probably saved me a hundred bucks! :D

Funny thing is the fuel cap is an un-vented version. Could be a California bike then (?)

Will need some minor attention to the fairings but not much.

    Real pretty bike - stoked!!!

The seller just let me know he removed the California emissions hardware on the carbs following Joe Nelson's instructions, so good to hear that.

    Here's a vid I took today.....cold-ish start - then added some choke.....

Thanks, James....really appreciate that! She's got a few warts on the fairings and could use a little polishing - but I'm super stoked overall! Can't wait to ride her over to the tag office tomorrow. :)

Sweet! She sounds pretty good for the mileage. 5 is a good number, but 6 could be better! Nice work dude!

Had rain in the forecast for today - but as sometimes happens the morning forecast pushed the time frame back a bit, so I squeezed in the visit to my tag office and got her re-titled in my name plus a 2 year antique (blue) plate.

The ride over to the tag office wasn't far - but didn't want to take any chances so grabbed the tag off my Ninja just so it had something. Was glad I did because I passed john law on the way over through the back streets of the hood.

The whole process only took about an hour.

Really enjoyed the ride over and back and look forward to longer rides. This one having the new tires makes a difference. I'll have to get the other's re-shoed so I can ride them with confidence as well.

That Yoshi one I got from Kaplan does have new Bridgestones so that one's OK.

I gave the Kerkers a good look over and didn't see any signs of old rivets so no idea if it had the Kerker emblems on them at some point and how they were attached. Perhaps I will call Supertrap, the company that bought Kerker.

I had the rivet holes welded up on a Kerker I rebuilt for another bike. After blending / finishing you could still kinda see where they were in the right light.

Maybe a later version of the canisters where they used 3M emblems?
