    1985 VF700F - Blue/White. $4,000 OBO.

Everything in good condition, some aesthetic scratches on the tank and fairings. Just under 26,000 miles on the clock.

Email me at: ebricker11@gmail.com if interested.

Posting description from the Craigslist ad:

For sale: 1985 Honda VF700F Interceptor

Third owner, 25,508 miles on the clock, the last 7,000 were mine. CLEAN TITLE IN MY NAME, has all of its inspections and registrations.

Minor aesthetic issues, shown in photos, mechanically excellent with all major and minor service complete, and some improvements, including:

    - Valve adjustments, including removing cams and inspecting for wear
    - Valve cover gaskets replaced w/ OEM
    - Motobatt AGM battery
    - New air filter
    - Regular oil changes
    - New iridium NGK spark plugs
    - All LED Headlights, turn signals, and tail/brake light.
    - Replaced petcock assembly and seals, new fuel filter, new fuel viton lines from tank to carbs.
    - Coolant flushed, replaced w/ Honda coolant, and radiators rodded and resoldered
    - Carburetors rebuilt with original brass and new rubber
    - Plastic carburetor cross-over tubes replaced with aluminum tubes; viton o-rings
    - Metzler Lasertec tires ~1,500 miles ago
    - New brake pads, flushed brake fluid.
    - New front and rear wheel bearings ~3,500 miles ago
    - New tapered steering bearings ~3,500 miles ago
    - New fork seals and dust covers ~500 miles ago
    - David Dodge oil mod to push more lubrication to the top end.
    - Fan bypass switch triggered off of relay under upper front cowl. Allows for manual and automatic turn on of fans, light indicates fun run regardless of how it gets triggered.
    - Replaced the starter solenoid and main fuse holder – now uses a standard autmotive fuse in lieu of the OEM.

Ready to ride for the spring/summer/fall, and if it’s your cup of tea, winter too. Excellent ride to head out of town for the weekend, day trips to PA, or take it on a two week tour, the bike is ready for it all.

Garage kept in Gowanus, cash in hand for a test ride. I’ll hand you the title.

Bring your own license plate, or be like half the rest of the city and ride home without one. Willing to ride back to your place if local and pull the plate from there.

    Impressive mechanical modifications!

I loved this part of your classified....

"or be like half the rest of the city and ride home without one."

    :D

My first RC15 was an '83 VF750F purchased locally in Daytona Beach - about a 20 minute ride away. I had a buddy drop me off and I rode her home. IIRC, I brought a plate with me from one of my other bikes. Gotta say though - there's noting like riding a newly purchased motorcycle home vs. trailering.

    GLWS! ;)

Don't envy me, it's a disease... I can't not go through and tinker. The bike really does run well though. I put about 1800 miles on it over a long weekend in Vermont, aside from the dopey little plastic coolant plug finally giving up (replaced it with a metal one in an autozone parking lot) it didn't give any fuss whatsoever.

Sort of got nostalgic for it when I took it to get what should be it's final gas fill (for me anyway) on Sunday.

an excellent VF, best seen here, but a for the same money you could be riding a much-improved gen 3 or 4 VFR ? unless you want a vintage antique
