Not bad for a tricked out example that you could actually ride without worrying too much about it. Nice.

I feel like if you had one, but sold it, then you already know your true feelings about it as a street bike to own. Very much like an old girlfriend you got back together with.

Damn, she was really cool and hot and we had some good times. Then 3 weeks later...

    Oh yeah. Now I remember.

You been there done that. Problem is the real beauty that keeps drawing us back. I suppose that is why I asked about having just 1 bike, could it be an RC45. I guess ask yourself, $40k image sitting in the garage or am I gonna ride it?
Talking with my wife yesterday, I was compelled to ask 1 Desmosedici/ RC45+1 cheap daily or what I have already? Answer didn’t help. “Whichever makes you happy, but I would stay with what you have”.

    Haha.

Yeah that answer doesn't help, and it does.

Same with the RC45. Awesome, cool, all that. But when that one weird thing goes bad or needs servicing, then you quickly remember that it was a limited availability, homogolated race bike. Now you are down to a cheap daily until you locate the unobtainium part and/or wait for the loan papers to clear.

HHAHAHAHAHA... no doubt on the loan papers. "So, I may have broken a 5c mount tab, could I get a loan for 15k to buy a new one?". "Sorry sir you don't have enough bikes as collateral to offset the loan".

A big difference is you're not looking to make it 50% of your motorcycles.

    True…
Also when I had my RC30 I also had 12 bikes and I put almost 6,000 miles on it. No garage queens in my barn.
I’m going to think about Cap but to be honest 80/20 on it …

I can think of a couple bikes I could sacrifice to help make one happen. And then I would still have at least $35,000 to come up with.
