    Hey everyone.....

This will be good news for some of us here - and I'm sure for a large segment of enthusiasts elsewhere.

I was contacted by a decal maker/company in Canada and asked to furnish specifications for the decals for the '86 & '87 VFR700F Interceptor.

He wants to add this model to his existing catalog.

We are starting with the Pearl Crescent White model and then will do the Blue version afterwards.

I've already conducted business with this company as well as collaborated with them - provided a little assistance with their RC24 decal set. The Capt. also helped as well.

The goal is to get the decal set to replicate OEM 100% perfectly. Size, color, everything.

I will be taking photos and doing some tracing work on the fairings and tanks I have to do my part. I also happen to have an OEM decal for the battery cover gold double pin line, which I will send him.

I'm asking if anyone here happens to have any of the OEM decals, it would be very helpful if we could borrow any. In return you will not only get your decal back you would be given some of the new decals.

I think the most challenging part of this will be to get the colors rights. I'm not sure at this point I wouldn't even consider sending him some of the fairing pieces themselves to help with this. Just the lower fairing by itself would probably suffice.

Your thoughts and suggestions are welcome and once again thanks for all the support guys.

Oh - the company is BDesigns: https://www.bdesigns.ca/

    Cheers!

What do guys think about using a heat gun to remove the decals - and then just mail those to the decal maker?

The exception would be for the fuel tank decals due to the clear coating.

All the others are fair game - no?

This way the decal maker would have exact duplicates of the decals.

They won't be exact duplicates after removal. Not even close.

Will either be a stretched, deformed abomination or an envelope of little chunks. Actually probably both.

If you have an old piece of bodywork to try on, you can see for yourself.

    Wow - thank you!

This is what I was hoping for! I am interested in buying all of the above - if they are for sale. Or as I said - if you want to keep them for yourself - maybe we could borrow them and compensate you for that. Otherwise I would buy them from you.

I'm good on the '86 RWB - but for those others - let's talk, please!

Please reply either here - or in a PM how you'd like to proceed. Thanks!
