1984 Honda VF500F, Fuel Joint Tubes

1984 Honda VF500F, Fuel Joint Tube Help

I just bought a 84 VF500F. I've been stripping it down and fixing it up. The carburetor fuel joint tubes (part # 16047-KE7-003) were in real rough shape and needed replacing. I ordered a new set of tubes but one of the new tubes is slightly different from the old ones. One of the new tubes has a smaller Internal diameter then the other, is this supposed to be the case? My old ones both have the exact same ID size. If it's supposed to have a smaller ID, where does this tube go, at the front? (in between carbs #2 & #4) or to the rear? (in between carbs #1 & #3)

 

I don't know about the parts of your case, all I know is that for my fresh set of carburetors recently acquired, I had to modify the plastic/rubber parts (poor condition after 40 years of stockage) almost handcraft, because I couldn't find availability for those parts - at least, for the required dimensions, which is similar to what you're talking about...

 

By the way, does someone here know a place to purchase all those carburetor parts individually? What I need as a spare part is a 'Z' shaped fuel joint, between the two sets of carburetors (in the middle of the 'V')

 

black tubes are for air venting, not fuel, and wont effect anything by having a smaller diameter.
