It does not look original to me. Plus if you have the molded numbers, you would include that in the photos.

I don't see anything that makes me think this is not Genuine OEM NOS.

All the mold lines, rear tab reinforcements and pad mounts look correct. Even the chamfers on the inside of the side mount holes are correct.

I'm keeping them for my bikes, Rogue, but if anything changes I will keep you in mind.

Are these really that hard to come by?

Having owned a couple of new RWB 700's back in my formative years, the sight of that diagonal text across the white tail brings back some very fond memories.

You can find them occasionally, but they are super pricey. I have to find a red one though.

In the back of my mind I suspected this, as I never recalled seeing them, but wanted to confirm before commenting. These cowls amazingly do not have the mold usage markings in them.

Not really. It is a bit odd. Maybe they planned on making them for a finite time (or a fairly limited run) and there wasn't a need to track usage. The US market was a unique piece, as the other markets for 86 - 89 have a notch for the grab handle and a bigger bump pad, so they are not the same piece.

Also could have been a last minute change up. Our American fat asses couldn't fit with the bigger pad.
