Hi, folks Boise, Idaho VFR rider here. New to this forum, but visit and post occasionally on VFRD. Also visit ST-N, under another nom de guerre. Not much riding around here now (Dec) but I do rack up some miles during the season, sport-touring mostly. Currently over 75,000 miles on my yellow beauty, and put a like amount on a '96 VFR. Prefer twisties, like most of you, but have made some long slab journeys as well (to Florida and back, last year). Have riding experience in most of the U.S.A., except for the East and Northeast. Canada is close, so I've been to B.C. and Alberta. Not many VFRs around here, but there are some 5th and 6th gens around. Most of my riding is solo, and I enjoy moto-camping as well. Once took a five month trip around the western U.S., plus some of Canada, on my previous bike, '96 VFR. Between 25-30,000 miles of pure moto-camping bliss. No pics, as I haven't made it to the digital world yet. Great site here, and good to see other VFR enthusiasts taking up some bandwidth. Joe
Welcome to the site; if/when you convert to the digital world, please share the pics of your rides....I'm sure Idaho has some great sites to see!!
welcome to the site. you might be interested in meeting some of us next July in north CA. with the kind of mileage you have done that would be nothing for you. that moto camping trip sounds cool. what do you do for a living that lets you go for 5 months? I need some of that. welcome to VFRworld.
Yes, Idaho is beautiful. But so is Arizona. I have vivid memories of riding down there, like 191, 60, 89, 89A, 366, among many others. Maybe odd, but I ride quite a lot in N.E. Oregon, one of the finest places for sportbike riding anywhere.
