the weight saving advantage is real, and the sound is alot better. scientists have proven stock mufflrs way 2 heavy in labratory tests.

Not trying to add insult or anything - but looks a little beat up to me.

I LOVE a YOSHI as much as the next person but do you guys think this is a good deal?

Also - if someone wanted to buy one for an RC26, are they still available new?

    Thanks, Capt.

I already have some on some of my bikes - plus one on the bike that is coming.

Besides......I really relish have bikes that are as original as possible, too. Which includes stock mufflers!

It's not like the exhaust note of stock mufflers doesn't tickle the ears! :)

Yoshimura has a habit of making the exhausts unnecessarily long on some models when they use a welded bracket before the muffler. The RC24/26 is one of them.

The VTR250 is another, which led me to modifying both the pipe and the bike to get the proportions right.

That center pic with the clamp around the muffler looks way better.

That said, I wouldn't kick any out of bed. But I might try "fixing" them.

did u do any rejetting to dial-in the non-stock pipe ? seems like some minor carb adjustments might be needed to optimize for an aftermarket pipe and 4 into 1 setup.

joes #s may not be right for your modified exhaust system.

No - and actually this bike has a set I bought from Joe Nelson/V4 Dreams that was completely rebuilt and synced on a running bike before sending to me.

The carbs that were on the bike when it came to me weren't in great condition and I had a lot of other things to fix on it so it was an easy decision to slap on the set from Joe.
