slowly moving at getting the vf500 back together and hit snag. with the shift linkage. the drum shifter plugs into the shift drum but I must have the little parts not together correctly. anybody have a close up of how the pawls are held in place by the ushaped piece and small spring. I'm thinking the spring keeps the pawls open to catch on the drum.
