Why didn't you warn me about all the pollen? Good lord I'd never seen anything like that in my life! We rented an airbnb and wiped off whatever yellow stuff was on the back porch table when we got there. It was right back there in the morning. They were running blowers on the track in the morning and at lunch to knock pollen off the track. That was a pretty foreign experience for me. I'm not nearly fast enough to be bothered by it, so I just thought it was kinda interesting.

CMP is a pretty cool track. I enjoyed it. I think if I ever make it back there I can drop a few seconds, but I was never comfortable with spotting some of the exit points. That little dogleg or kink that's a dark green/white curb that you're supposed to hit at near full song freaked me out. I knew I could get through there without letting off on a lightweight bike. But I never felt confident spotting that thing from several hundred feet out to prep for it. So I was letting off way too much and coasting. Survived my first endurance race (40 min stint from me), didn't crash, and my first full engine rebuild didn't blow up. Successful weekend. I'm definitely not volunteering to ride bitch in the back row of a Ram 1500 both ways for a 15 hour drive again though.

Nice! Glad that you had a good time. Was it a track day also or just racing? What org?

Racing with ASRA--it was their season opener. A chance to shake the bikes down with no worry about midwest regional points. Plus, it was snowing in WI when I left, so it was nice to see the color green. Forgot what it looked like. Evolve hosted the track day friday practice day. I believe the owners of Evolve also own ASRA now.

Evolve is a good group. Each org has their own niche specialties. Maybe I'll see you out there!
