Hey guys, I have a 1986 VFR700 I'm rebuilding and my daily rider is a 1999 VFR800i in red, I also have a yellow 2000 VFR800i. This spring the 2000 wouldn't start and I haven't touched it, key turns and everything lights up but simply won't turn over even with a fresh battery and it ran flawlessly last year, I haven't had time to look at it as I have been busy farming and going to school.
I rode my 1999 the other day and when I turned the key on the Fuel injection light was lit up and it wouldn't turn over either. After a couple tries it fired up and ran fine all day. I went to start it again tonight and it wouldn't turn over at all, battery is brand new and I can here the fuel pump priming (see attachment)
I'm hoping it's a simple fuse but I'm stumped and don't have hours to tear into it playing trial and error. Is anyone able to give me some advice or point me in the right direction?
The bike has never let me down before and has around 25k miles on it, I am the 2nd owner and it's been meticulously maintained with, oil, air and oil filters, plugs, chain etc replaced every single year. I'm having a lot of trouble with my business at the moment and looking at some bleak possibilities including losing my farm due to circumstances with a contract that is out of my control.
I finally bought a brand new set of dainese leathers, sidi boots, and shoei helmet last year and could really use some wind therapy. Any advice would be extremely welcome.
    Respectfully,

Fuses and connectors are good places to look. I'd Contact Cleaner squirt and cycle the kill switch and starter switch directly. Sidestand switch....clutch switch, same thing.

a simple fuse replacement may work briefly, but something caused the fuse to blow and might again.

    Hi Josh.
You've mentioned something that can cause a bit of confusion and can send us down the wrong path in trying to sort out your issues, so we need to be clear.
"everything lights up but simply won't turn over even with a fresh battery." So are you saying when you press the starter button the engine does Not turn over/crank. Or are you saying the starter cranks the engine but it will Not start.? Are both the 1999 and 2000 doing the same thing?

Wasn't able to view your video, are you able to just attach the mp4 file?

Clutch ‘cut out,’ switch maladjustment on my 5th Gen caused similar symptoms. Cleaned, adjusted and now works as designed.

That's interesting! Clutch Switch has nothing to do with a Neutral start.
