split the cases to check main bearing and replace clutch rod seal. Now I have a part I am trying to hunt location for. when I had cases in normal upright position to take top case bolts out, when I flipped it over I found two parts. one a typical dowel which is most likely from oil pump, the other I can't identify. started looking through parts diagram but thought someone here would recognize it. Its approximately 11 x 22 mm with 6 mm hole. picture attached, also included my "bolt cardboard", easy way to keep bolts in order of where they go.

There aren't many 6mm bolts responsible for the crankcase halves. What are there, like two? And I can't think of any that have a dowel like that associated with them.

Maybe a spacer behind the water pump body to the crankcase?

found it. it's a spacer used in the gearshift mechanism, sits on a 6mm stud and when i flipped the cases over it slid off.
main bearings look good so add the new clutch rod seal and the cases can go back together.
