    I heven't heard from him in a long time. I know he lives in Hawaii, but I can't remember if it is Maui. It seems like maybe it was. I wonder if he was affected by the fire. It seems like if you were anywhere on that island then you probably were.

    I don't know much about the sites finances.....mbe the ads are enough to keep it going...no idea.
    On both sites, I just know it's part of my daily routine for better than a decade,
    and I will try to keep both going no matter what. (VFRW &VFRD)

    The last time we discussed it, M told me the insiders & ad rev usually made the bills. Occasionally a little more occasionally a little less, but he loves the site and it holds a lot of memories for many of us. This site evolved from a forum out of Texas (I think they called it Texas VFR Garage back then) way back in the early days of the internet. I don't think he ever intends to let it die as long as it isn't costing a lot of money.

    As for me, next year will make 20 years on the site. I don't get here daily, but I get here. I try to come by and prune the chat a few times a year. Especially if I see a lot of hateful politics type stuff. For the most part, the site exists in much the same space as the VFR itself. There is a strong core of support that keeps the memory alive, but no one is expecting a miracle resurrection or winding back of the clock to the 'good old days'.

    I'm close to 70 years old. I only know of two assholes. Neither of them is you for sure. Your contributions to this site is beyond superb. Your thread on the 6th gen stator issues shows your commitment. I appreciate that. I don't mean to belittle you about becoming president. I nominate TC, NCB and Reg for pres too. But they were for the US of A. Now I will return to my usual babble here.
