Saw VH on the Diver Down and 1984 tours. Good times.

 

I like BOTH pre and post Haggar VH! Sammy Haggar is an UNREAL musician, composer, and singer. His solo stuff is off the charts! Likewise for much of his VH material.

That said.

This has always been THE gold standard for me - both as a song and music vid.......

 

I gave my 20 year old daughter a couple of Cure concert shirts from way back when. Now she is almost as big a fan as me, although she hasn't seen them 11 times yet. lol

I remember late 1989 when "Disintegration" came out. I had just relocated to SW Florida on a work-related move. It was a big move for me and ended up life-changing. I was 35 years old, alone, and in a whole new world. Made friends pretty quick but I remember to this day a discussion I had with one of the blokes there about that album being such a departure from their previous stuff. CD's were becoming more popular then too vs. vinyl. Even though I didn't have a CD player I still bought the CD and then a friend of mine made a cassette for me from it along with a new VH CD.

I was working for a millionaire as his full time gardener at his winter home. Learned a lot over the next 1.5 years until I got a better job as sales manager for a supply company and that was the job that set the stage for the rest of my career. Everyone has memories of their career path. And the music that inspired us along the way.....

I saw them in concert when they did their "Elemental Tour" when i was living in Lehigh Acres (Ft Myers) in the early 90's. Curt Smith was not with them but Oleta Adams was. Just insane.......
