What size are the stock Jets on an 86 750?
I got the carbs off! Definitely going to need gaskets they're leaking.
My jets are: 122 and 38. It has a K&N air filter in it, and the bike is equipped w the 4-1 Yoshimura race exhaust.

Trying to find my baseline here, I need to find out if this thing runs I've never tried to start it in 5 years...lol and there was fuel in the carbs
Yep they're f****ed not horrible I have seen far worse but the Jets are completely clogged.
I was told years ago by Factory Pro, to never clean pilots just throw them away and buy new ones.
Wondering how others fair and any opinions on jetting or any experience with the aftermarket jet kits I don't think any are available anymore? The only ones I ever see are the Sigma, and I don't believe they give much information. I don't want to buy anything with aftermarket Chinese crap.
Thanks for any info advice or information it's appreciated...

    Stock is 118 / 38

For the mods you list, I would personally retain the 122 mains. I have a very similar modded 86 (4-1) that has 125 mains and runs perfect. Since you are likely going to buy new pilot jets, I would go up to #40. Check the needles to see if they are stock (non adjustable) and if there is a shim under them. If present, retain. If not, source some .5mm shims, easily found on eBay. I think I find them in RC Car parts.

V-Four Dreams is a great resource for the gaskets, o-rings & other carb parts. Great write-ups to get the carbs split. Joe is a nice guy to deal with. If you just need jets, I 2nd the call for #40 pilot jets. Jets R Us is a good site to order them from.

rust in float bowl means youll likely need to drain, flush, and coat the fuel tank.

+1 on the #40 pilot jets.
I tried a 125 main on my vfr700 and it was too rich. I run 120 main now and its a bit lean at open throttle so 122 might be the sweet spot. I also added 2nd .5 shim under the needles.
I used EBC jets because they are lower the cost than OEM.
