will a 2007 tail light be a direct fit on a 2003 gen 6?

    i remember coming across a thread here saying something about an adapter needed.

    i just sourced a clear tail light for my 03.

    male and female.
    not quite sure how everything goes together as i don't have the new tail light and i have not disassembled mine yet.

    if anyone that has gone through this and would like to chime in.
    i've also found an adapter kit but i am not sure if it is not exactly what i've ordered.
