1991 VFR750 vinyl seat colour?

I thought I’d try here again as I had great help with my last post.

As above really.. does anyone know what colour/shade of blue my ‘91 RC36 seat is?

I was lucky to find a rear seat cowling just after I purchased the bike a few months ago, but the ‘bum pad’ is black, so I’d like to change this to match the seat.

I did order a sample of royal blue vinyl, but sadly it wasn’t a match

I appreciate any help or thoughts

Find the parts fiche for what market your VFR is and it will list the "color" just like a painted cowl.

Unfortunately, it is not going to likely help you at all. The chance of somebody stocking that exact vinyl identified by that number is pretty much zero. Either keep collecting samples or source a used seat with a big enough swath of good vinyl to use to cover the pillion cover.

The hardest thing I have ever covered is a solo cowl pad, and it didn't have anywhere near the curves that one does.

Some good shouts there, I figured it wouldn’t be particularly easy to find the answer.. old bikes do like to make us work

I’ll keep trying other test samples of various blues.. if I can get ‘almost’ the same, I’ll be happy. If I can’t find anything, keeping it black it wouldn’t be the worst thing tbh..
