I know there were discussions on Capts thread about winter riding, but I didn't want to highjack. Today was take your 2-smoker to work day. :)
It started cold at a low of 49* this morning, but the ride home was totally worth it. See below. 61*

    Fun cars projects Linkken!!

Heated seats and steering wheel in my Challenger are so nice on these go to work early days.

Today we say goodbye to the Ticket Master ( Tuono). She was fun and fast but too fast for the street and no point in riding anything less than aggressive. Also was irritated at the quality of product. Our 30 yr old Hondas had better quality than the '16 Aprilia.

Quality seems to be a big issue when the honeymoon period has ended with your new, exotic, high maintenance girlfriend. Yes the sex is great at first, but you still have to live with her the rest of the time.

Couple friends with KTMs and Ducatis experienced the same thing. One won't admit it though right after complaining about quality, dealer support and parts availability.

I can only afford one Italian mistress and the Ducati is pretty much my wife's bike, so technically I only own Hondas. :)
Yamaha doesn't count cause she is a flipper. ;)

When they came to pick up the Tuono, they wanted to see what was under curtain #2. They loved the NSR and the RVF (even in the updated bodywork).

Now I can buy the rear shock for the RVF. I might go with the Rick Oliver recommended Nitron or just go with the YSS. Not sure the bike will see more than some fast canyon. Open to thoughts.

I've got a Nitron squirreled away for the next 86 VFR750F build. If the budget is there, it's a trick unit that would look right at home on the RVF.

I lucked out and stole the thing, pretty sure someone was selling the ex-boyfriend's shit by the listing and description.

oooo very nice!! I am interested. Maybe we can chat abooot it. I did email Penske about swapping my VFR shock over to the RVF and they said they would need to change everything and it would only be $750 to do the work..No thanks. lol

Going back and looking, my post may have been ambiguous. Not selling my shock, just commenting that they are gorgeous, trick units. But obviously not cheap (just looked).

I will add a little salt and mention that mine came new, in the original box with all of the documentation, stickers, patches and the custom build sheet... $250.
