    I keep buying them.

Came across this on OfferUp. 5 minutes from my house, looked brand new.

Pretty much was. Arai Corsair V, Medium.

He was living here for a job and got freaked out by our distracted / inattentive drivers (understandable). Sold his XSR and was moving again.

Of course I added a few decals.

$200 dollars. Came with the dark shield and some like-new Joe Rocket gloves that fit perfect.

The day after I sold some Belstaf leather pants for $200, so...

I now have 8 current helmets on rotation. "Normal" is relative. This place is full of enablers and freaks, like me.

It is very light and really comfortable. I have another Corsair (Schwantz Replica) that I have ridden in and love it.

Arai helmets are not necessarily known for being quite. Vents make noise. I wear ear plugs 100% of the time. Always have. Town, freeway, 25mph, 100+mph.
If you are not used to changing Arai shields, it can be a learning curve. I find it easy and can swap in seconds.

DISCLAIMER: I have had only Arai Helmets on my head since age 9 (still have it). My head shape is the perfect candidate for Arai Helmets, starting with the first classic Supervent "round-oval" (Quantum), but I can wear (and have ridden in) any model (Signet - long-oval, Renegade - intermediate) in comfort and bliss.

    I am an Arai Guy.

I was interested because the Corsair is supposed to be the top of the line...
I have had several Shoeis but the newist ones fit on me funny...
I am beyond frustrated on my helmet search...

I sold helmets for years. While there is nothing like actually riding in one for some time, I was pretty good about finding the right fit for a head and identifying what might be an issue down the road by asking certain questions.

Basically if it didn't "feel right" initially, its gonna get worse not better. I didn't want to sell them a helmet that they didn't immediately go, "Oohhhh" with.

But usually, the "Oooohhh" came around 300-500 dollars (In 1990) and had an Arai sticker on it. Wasn't always able to sell that helmet, but the customer definitely felt the difference. I would often sell them an Arai the next season.

Sometimes a Signet or Quantum still didn't work, and it's called a Shoei head.

Oh, and I sold a Shitte-Tonne of HJC. This was just when they started to up their game and their helmets were (and still are) a big bang for your buck. Definitely a fan. Also went to some amazing HJC funded dinners and functions with my wife from selling them. Win-win.

Killer deal Capt! You are completely in the right. I am an Arai guy as well. I have only owned one other brand and that only lasted a year (Shoei).

2 Retired Helmets (2 Doohan) - near mint
    3 to Goodwill (ex-race crash)
1 plain Corsair- 10+yrs ready to retire
1 Hayden Laguna - In service for riding non-Hondas
1 Nakagami- In service for all Hondas
Wish list is an HRC from Japan next year.

The last thing I need to keep buying but Arai's are just so nice, keep up the good work Capt. Someday we will catch up to Stray. :)

The Naka I brought back from Japan Oct 2023. They size differently, but it works well in shorter rides. The best part is that it was made only 3 months before I bought it. :)
