Replace Lower Triple Clamp?

    I fear I substantially over-torqued my lower triple-c when adjusting forks to stock height using an unfamiliar torque wrench. After which, I loosened and haven't touched it. Should I think about replacing the lower triple for fear of damage?

    Any thoughts welcome.

    How "substantially over-torqued"? Do you recall the setting, and did you reach that point?

    Thanks RllwJoe, I'll be post an introduction.

    The service manual has those at 36 ft-lbs (setting I used) but never clicked around there comparing to an earlier torque wrench I was using on something else. Felt closer to 50 lbs, but hard to say for sure.

    Ok...since threads are not stripped....start over low, go slow and sneak up on the correct torque.
    That means mbe in steps mbe go 15,20,30 and final. Each bolt at each step of torque setting.
    Also, it's probably a good idea to get new bolts....
    Then get a different torque wrench that you trust!
