Just to clarify, the 800 is a 2006, not 87.

Price elasticity is an interesting thing when you are looking at what I would consider an "enthusiast's" machine, i.e. something you want because of what it is, not simply a tool for comuting or the latest and greatest. That said, the 800 does look like a deal for the presence of the extras.

from my experience, a vfr isnt best for a first bike. ridin something smaller and lighter for a year will help give u the skills u need to safely ride a vfr.

one or two big bike tipovers can be enough to put off new riders, so gain experience and confidence on a smaller bike for awhile b4 graduating up to a vfr (imo).

MY BAD, I referred to the bike in the link as an 87 VFR800 when in fact it's a 2007 VFR800. I posted Both the 86 VFR 700 and the 2007 VFR 800 links that were actively listed on Craigslist for sale at that time. I contacted the seller about buying the 86 VFR 700 yesterday and was informed this morning that it was sold. Bummer, Always wanted to hear and feel the performance of a VFR gear driven camshaft.
