   Actually, I want to replace the gas cap assembly and keep the existing key lock. Can't find a way to remove the lock assembly and install it into a new cap. Has anyone done this? And if so how? Thanks.

   Followed these instructions to a tee when I rekeyed my gas cap to the ignition (previous owner got a replacement tank and cap, and just used 2 keys)
