Getting the bike to run correct is only a minor victory in the overall aspect of things.

I really don't care if it fails. I do like it to run and ride, and I also take pride in the things that make me happy other than motorcycling

Sometimes we need a sidetrack to give us an outside look on things when we are troubleshooting we get blinders on..

Do you Ever have any constructive things to say????

I understand J … just the fact that you can work on it is good enough!
Sometimes I stand back and sip a cup of coffee staring at my “ handy work “… I’m no Stray Cat or Cap 80 but I think I do ok …

    No it doesn't necessarily.

Where does it say that I should just post what's relevant??

Didn't see that in the rules for posting. Thought this was free to speak

    Or am I wrong?

If you don't like it don't reply.

I will post moto related things when I have something to reply with otherwise...

Seems you are still watching tho ...

Tired of this shit. Asking for actual help amd I get posts that question the Relevance. You're obviously watching posts.

Just help if you can brother. Otherwise I need distractions like this

Forums...the worst way to communicate and share facts, as you have to sift through unrelated posts and what someone else might think is useful to get to what you think is useful. lol

I almost single handedly brought down USCCA a few weeks back over religion. Fortunately, we mostly miss non VFR talk on here. Phew!

    Current plan of attack:

Coolant piping oring replacement. Just cleaned out the coolant reservoir and the overflow tubing from the radiator.

Drill hole in RH bar for newer control pod mounting.

    Install carbs and throttle cables.

Good plan on the o-rings. Now is the time.

Install throttle cables, THEN install carbs. Just flip them over in place above the insulators. Then you can set them down in the V to check for action and free play. Also, don't forgot to verify where the adjuster is set on the cable up near the throttle housing. You want to make sure you have some final adjustment available in either direction after install to fine tune if needed.

If I remember, the throttle cables were still kind of a bitch to do.. I think I had the carbs on their side to get the cable ends in the wheel and they really didn't like giving much room.

I was thinking of trying to have the cables already on the carbs for install, then I'd have the bar off to drill the hole so I'd just have to put the cable ends on the grip tube and through the pod. Then install the bar?
Would that even work or too complicated?

The wife and I do a damn good brisket. We've got it down and even got approval from a Texan transplant that knows BBQ / Smoking. It's actually what we do for parties that we know will come out great and feed lots of people. She used to work for a meat shop / butcher and we got all of our protein for free. The good ol days, but life moves on. The plus side (have to look at it this way), we don't eat nearly as much red meat anymore.
