Does anyone recognise this bolt or have any ideas as to where it may have originated? Maybe it is not from my bike at all ‍♂️

It fell out the bottom of the bike while I was 5k reving to test charging system.

    5th gen '99 red.

It has just come back from the garage having had a whole host of things done.

    Thanks in advance PXL_20240518_104015437.jpg

the 2 dark lines about 1 inch apart are one clue it went through something that left a mark. suspension ? looks like something from the rear shock dogbone rocker. unusual allen- head on the bolt, not used much on honda bikes but better if they did.

It looks standard spec. - something Honda rarely use.
    Size ... M8x60? Stamps on the head - like 8,8 or A2 ?
How do the clamps on you exhaust system look?

Measurements look like it is M6x66 but stamps on top don’t correleate.

12.9 high strength steel metric standard screw M6x60. Hardly anything Honda but it could be aftermarket something (e.g. exhaust or luggage carrier something). Look around - we just have a few picture of the screw - You have the remains of the bike

Thanks for the replies and input, good to know it’s not a standard Honda bolt. I’m hoping it is just a rogue option/spare bolt that the garage dropped and only now has found its way out.

A clue may be what the garage was doing to it. If they worked on rear suspension or removed it for access take a good look at all the linkages. Maybe one of the bolts for the 'horns of Satan' grab handles??
